Dear Residents and Fellows, Welcome to your Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology rotation. We hope you will find it to be a rewarding, challenging and educational month. The cardiac and thoracic patients provide opportunities to study physiology and pharmacology not often seen in other ORs. Initially, the experience can be somewhat overwhelming but after the first few cases, you will discover the breath of information that can be learned from these patients. We have great staff, both anesthesiologists and surgeons, who are eager to teach. We have put together a collection of articles and text book chapters for your reference. You will find first off an orientation to the MUSC heart room and the goals and objectives for the rotation. This orientation manual was written by the staff and fellows to help you understand the flow of the cardiac room, we hope it is helpful. Please come to any of us if you have any questions or concerns. Best Regards, The CT group CT Fellowship Manual - Table of Contents |
