Dr. Ross B. Pollack was born in Washington D.C., and earned an undergraduate degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Ga., in 1974. He attended Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., where he graduated magna cum laude in 1978. Dr. Pollack completed an internship in 1979 at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center and then served as a general medical officer for two years in Korea and at Hunter Army Air Field. He completed a dermatology residency in 1984 at Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Dr. Pollack was a dermatologist at Fort Benning, Ga., for two years, prior to practicing dermatology in Atlanta, Ga., until 1997. While in Atlanta, he served as a volunteer faculty member with the Department of Dermatology at Emory University School of Medicine. In early 1997, Dr. Pollack moved to Buffalo, N.Y., where he became Chief of Dermatology at the Buffalo Veterans Administration Medical Center and joined the faculty at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology. He later served as Residency Program Director for the Department of Dermatology in Buffalo from 2000 to 2004. In April, 2004, he joined the Medical University of South Carolina, Department of Dermatology, and became the Residency Program Director. His area of particular interest is medical dermatology, and he currently is in charge of all inpatient dermatology consults. | |  | Ross B. Pollack, M.D. |
