SUMMARY OF RESEARCH
Dr. Trivedi’s research interest includes evaluating techniques, complications and management of pediatric cataract surgery. More and more physicians are now considering primary IOL implantation when operating on a child with a cataract. Implantation of a fixed power IOL in an eye that is still growing makes the decision of which IOL power will best benefit the child, very difficult. Ideal IOL power should benefit the subject from childhood to adult life. To help determine this, Dr. Trivedi’s research focuses on IOL power calculation for children.
