Setting Passkey Lock and Remote Wipe on Smartphones

Android (Settings words may differ slightly with different carrier phones)

Passkey Lock:
Settings > Location and Security > Set up Screen Lock
Recommended Settings 
Password - Enabled, Choose # of failed attempts carefully, Security Timeout in minutes: recommend 5-10, you can set a button to automatically lock

Remote Location and Wipe:

A number of third-party applications are available through the app store, we like Android Lost, http://www.androidlost.com/

Blackberry

Passkey Lock:
Options > Security Options > General Settings > Password: Enabled (Choose "Save" from the blackberry menu)

Remote Location and Wipe:

iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch)

Passkey Lock: 
Settings > General > Passcode Lock
Recommended Settings
"Require Passcode" setting to Immediately and the Auto-Lock feature (back one level on the General menu) to 15 minutes or lower.  We recommend setting the Erase Data to "on" only if your children do not have access to your iDevice.
