MUSC Heart and Vascular Center

Division of Cardiology

The Division of Cardiology at MUSC is a leader in cardiovascular patient care, training, and research. Division faculty members offer outstanding tertiary and quaternary patient care, conduct leading-edge research, and deliver specialized training for the next generation of cardiologists.

Education

The Division has a long and rich history of training generations of cardiologist practitioners and academicians, graduating over 100 fellows in cardiovascular disease to date. The division currently trains six fellows per year in general clinical cardiology.  We also field fellowship training programs in interventional cardiology and electrophysiology. Additionally, our division has been the recipient of an NIH T32 training grant for 45 consecutive years. Renewed in 2017 through 2022, this grant permits focused research training for two years for both pre- and post-doctoral physicians and scientists.
