Assistant Professor of Medicine
Dr. Lacy Sturdivant graduated from Millsaps College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. He earned his medical degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, then a fellowship in cardiovascular disease and a fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at MUSC. Dr. Sturdivant is board certified in Cardiovascular Medicine, Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Sturdivant’s interests are Invasive, Non-Interventional Adult Cardiology to include diagnostic catheterizations, preventive and outpatient cardiovascular care, complex arrhythmia ablation, heart failure device therapy and diagnostic non-invasive modalities including stress testing, echocardiography and non-invasive sudden cardiac death risk testing. He is also interested in inpatient, critical cardiovascular care. He will be active at MUSC, Georgetown Memorial hospital, Myrtle Beach Regional Medical Center and will be attending two months each year at MUSC.
