Assistant Professor of Medicine Dr. Lacy Sturdivant graduated from Millsaps College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. He earned his medical degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, then a fellowship in cardiovascular disease and a fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at MUSC. Dr. Sturdivant is board certified in Cardiovascular Medicine, Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and in Internal Medicine. Dr. Sturdivant’s interests are Invasive, Non-Interventional Adult Cardiology to include diagnostic catheterizations, preventive and outpatient cardiovascular care, complex arrhythmia ablation, heart failure device therapy and diagnostic non-invasive modalities including stress testing, echocardiography and non-invasive sudden cardiac death risk testing. He is also interested in inpatient, critical cardiovascular care.
