The Medicial University of South Carolina, in Charleston, has one of the newest residency programs in the country.  Our mission is to teach our residents how to be outstanding clinicians and provide efficient emergency medical care to their patients in a compassionate manner.

We also offer clinical clerkships in emergency medicine to fourth year medical students. Prospective students need to apply for clerkships through both the MUSC College of Medicine and the Emergency Medicine offices.

We offer an externship in emergency medicine for visiting students from abroad on a case by case basis.  The students will need to apply online and send required documents such as a letter from the Dean and recommendation letters along with USMLE scores.  Visa status will be carefully reviewed.  No housing is provided.
