Dr. Shapshak joined the MUSC faculty full-time in August of 2007. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Miami in 1995 and then graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1999. He completed a residency in Emergency Medicine in 2003, at the Louisiana State University Medical Center, followed by a Fellowship in Hyperbaric Medicine and Wound Care at the Doctor’s Medical Center in San Pablo, California. Dr. Shapshak is board certified in Emergency Medicine as well as Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine.
Dr. Shapshak’s interests include SCUBA diving, athletics, filmmaking and academic education.
