Division of Emergency medicine

Jeffrey S. Bush, M.D.

Dr. Bush is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Emergency Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina.  Dr. Bush completed his undergraduate studies at Duke University and then earned his M.D. at the East Carolina University School of Medicine in 1993.  He completed his internship and residency in Emergency Medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA.  Dr. Bush is board certified in Emergency Medicine.

After completing his training, Dr. Bush moved back to his home state of North Carolina and founded Asheboro Emergency Physicians where he spent the next six years.  There, he served as the Assistant Director of the group until moving to Daniel Island, SC to join the faculty at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2004.  Dr. Bush is a member of the American College of Emergency and serves as a faculty advisor to medical students entering into Emergency Medicine.  Dr Bush has been chosen to be one of the core faculty for the new Emergency Medicine Residency program scheduled to start it’s first class in July 2007.  His interests includes airway management and trauma.
