Division of Emergency medicine

Jeffrey S. Bush, MD, FACEP

Dr. Bush is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Emergency Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina.  Dr. Bush completed his undergraduate studies at Duke University and then earned his M.D. at the Brody School of Medicine in 1993.  He completed his internship and residency in Emergency Medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA., where he served as a flight physician for two years.  Dr. Bush is board certified in Emergency Medicine.

After completing his training, Dr. Bush moved back to his home state of North Carolina and founded Asheboro Emergency Physicians where he spent the next six years.  There, he served as the Assistant Director of the group until moving to Daniel Island, SC to join the faculty at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2004.  Dr. Bush is a member and fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and is presently serving as the Associate Residency Director.   His interests include resident education and role of mid-level providers in the Emergency Department.
