fly fishing, cycling/triathlon, soccer, kayaking, photography, travel/cultures, sitting on the dock with my wife, being outside and taking in nature, lounging, action,/comedies...

What is your favorite thing about MUSC?

My wife(Keenan O'Leary) and I were immediately impressed with the kindness, diversity, and enthusiasm of the faculty and staff that accompanied the beginnings of a newer program. The receptiveness to feedback and an emphasis on resident balance. Great didactics and 8-9 hour shifts!!

What is your favorite thing about Charleston?

Historic hub of Southeast that satiates my wife and I's cultural desires as far as diversity of population, food, coffee shops, and bars; all accessible enough to be kayaking the tidal creeks or taking in the beach breeze within 30 mins of leaving work. Minimal commute times and close enough to the mountains to get my "mountain fix"!

What does your future hold in Emergency Medicine?

 My wife and I were both Peace Corp volunteers and thus International ventures as well as more rural practice endeavors are enticing. Niche specific interests may involve working with a cycling team or devoting time to wilderness medical interests.
