| Dr. Wilson is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Medical University of South Carolina. He earned his M.D. at Albany Medical College of Union University. Dr. Wilson then completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at Albany Medicine College and did a USPHS Postdoctoral Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX. Dr. Wilson is a member of several professional organizations, including, American Federation for Clinical Research; Central Society for Clinical Research; American Gastroenterological Association; American Association for the Study of Liver Disease; American Society for Clinical Investigation; The New York Academy of Sciences; The Eastern Gut Club; Pennsylvania Society of Gastroenterology; and the South Carolina Medical Association. Dr. Wilson has received numerous awards/honors, including, Clinical Investigator, Veterans Administration; Investigator, Howard Hughes Medical Institute; Who’s Who in America; Who’s Who in Frontiers of Science and Technology; and International Who’s Who in Medicine. His clinical interests include general gastroenterology, irritable bowel syndrome, and inflammatory bowel disease.
