Cathryn Caton, M.D.

Assistant Professor of Medicine

Dr. Cathryn Caton is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina.  She began her education with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Hampton University, Hampton, Virginia.  She then attended the College of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina where she also completed her postgraduate training in Internal Medicine.   Dr Caton then stayed on at MUSC to pursue a fellowship in General Internal Medicine and earned her Masters of Science in Clinical Research from the College of Graduate Studies during that time.

Dr. Caton is a member of the hospitalist group within the Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics.  Her areas of interest are housestaff and medical student education, evidence based medicine and fall prevention strategies for geriatric patients.  She is a member of the Society of General Internal Medicine.
