Assistant Professor of Medicine
Dr. Cave earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology at Wofford College, followed by her medical degree at MUSC. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at MUSC, followed by a year as Chief Resident for the Internal Medicine Program.
During her residency training Dr. Cave developed an interest in medical student and graduate medical education. Her year as Chief Resident served to futher cultivate this interest by allowing her to actively participate in activities related to the training of future physicians, including the implementation of a new Evidence Based Medicine curriculum for the Internal Medicine house staff, and solidified her desire to pursue a career in academic medicine.
Clinically Dr. Cave desires to build a solid outpatient practice with a strong emphasis on the importance of regular physical activity, proper nutrition, and stress management in promoting her patients' overall well-being.
