Deborah DeWaay, M.D.

Assistant Professor

Dr. Deborah DeWaay was awarded her M.D. from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in 2005 with a distinction in research.  At that time, she was inducted into the Arnold Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Society.  She completed residency training in Internal Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina and then was Chief Resident in Internal Medicine.  She has decided to continue at MUSC in General Internal Medicine as a hospitalist.  In addition, she will be the Clerkship Director for students.  Her interests include:  medical education, curriculum development and facilitating the integration of information technology at MUSC.
