After completing undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts, Dr. Ivan E. Monserrate obtained his medical degree at the 'Universidad Central del Caribe' located in his native home, Puerto Rico. In 1994 he finished residency training at the Medical University of South Carolina, and is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Monserrate has been a faculty member at MUSC since 1994, and currently works fulltime in Primary Care at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
