Assistant Professor of Medicine Dr. Pamela Pride is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. She began her education with a BS degree in Pharmacy from the University of Connecticut. She then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and graduated in 1996. She completed her postgraduate training in Internal Medicine at Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, North Carolina. She remained on faculty there until 2001 when she moved to Charleston and joined the MUSC faculty. At MUSC Dr. Pride is a member of the hospitalist group within the division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. Her areas of interest are housestaff education, evidenced based medicine, and peri-operative medicine. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine.
