Leigh Vaughan, M.D.

Assistant Professor of Medicine

Dr. Leigh Vaughan is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. She attended Boston College for her BA and then The University of Tennessee School of Medicine for her Doctorate degree. She completed her postgraduate training in Internal Medicine at St. Vincents Catholic Medical Center in New York City in 2000 where she also served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Vaughan joined the faculty at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center as medical consultant for the surgical oncology services with a focus of comprehensive care in the cancer patient. She then joined the faculty at MUSC as an academic hospitalist in 2009 and transitioned into Palliative Medicine in 2012 where she serves as the program director for the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship.
