Yumin is a Research Associate in the Division of General Internal Medicine & Geriatrics, Department of Medicine. She received her Masters Degree in Statistics from the University of Kentucky. Before she came to MUSC, she served as a Biostatistician in a pharmaceutical company for a short period. Prior to her Masters Degree in Statistics, she finished a Ph.D. in Materials Science at the University of Kentucky.
Yumin is interested in applying the correct statistical methodologies to the analytical data sets, such as the categorical data and longitudinal data; cleaning and manipulating messy data sets to create analytical data sets; interpreting statistical results for publications on the peer reviewed journal and for grant applications. She is currently focusing on providing statistical support to the research within the Division, especially the research on health services, health disparities and hypertension initiative.
