Neal Christiansen, M.D.

Associate Professor / Fellowship Director

Dr. Neal Christiansen earned his Medical Degree at Washington University School of Medicine. He then completed his residency in Internal Medinice at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center. Following his residency, he completed a Medical Oncology Fellowship at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Christiansen is board ceritified in Internal Medicine and medical Oncology. Dr. Christiansen's clinical practice centers on the care of patients with breast cancer, as well as genitourinary malignancies.

Dr. Christiansen is an excellent educator and mentor, working with all levels of trainees from medical students, to residents and fellows. After being at MUSC for only a year, he was asked to assume Directorship of the Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program. He has undertaken an extensive re-organization of that prgram that has been successful, as well as improving the ranking of the candidates seeking to join the program.
