Madelyne Ann Cearley Bean, PharmD

Madelyne Ann Cearley Bean, PharmD, is the Outpatient Pharmacy Infectious Disease Clinical Specialist with joint duties in both the Department of Pharmacy Services and the Division of Infectious Disease. She is also an adjunct assistant professor for the South Carolina College of Pharmacy and participates in instruction with the Infectious Diseases Fellowship program. She attended the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy and received her PharmD in 2010. She then joined the Medical University of South Carolina in order to pursue a two-year residency in Pharmacotherapy, which she completed in 2012.
 
Dr. Bean joined the Infectious Diseases Division in 2012 to participate in the care of clinic patients infected with HIV. She also maintains credentials for participating in collaborative drug therapy management (CDTM) protocols with referring providers to offer management of primary care related issues for patients infected with HIV. Dr. Bean is a member of The South Carolina Infectious Diseases Society (SCIDS), the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), Phi Lambda Sigma National Pharmacy Leadership Society (PLS), and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP).
