Nada Abou Hassan, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston.  She joined effective April 1, 2012.  Dr. Abou Hassan received her Medical Degree from the Lebanese University in 2003.  She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the American University of Beirut where she served as Medical Chief Resident in 2007.  Dr. Abou Hassan went on to complete an Internal Medicine Residency at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in 2009.  In 2012, Dr. Abou Hassan completed a Nephrology Fellowship at Emory University.  She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.

Dr. Abou Hassan's particular interest is providing care for patients with Kidney Disease, with particular interest in Mineral Bone Disease in Chronic Kidney Disease.  She looks forward to pursuing more research in this field and contributing to the education of medical students and residents.
