Svetozar Tomov, M.D.

Svetozar Tomov, M.D. is a clinical instructor in the Division of Nephrology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, S.C.  Dr. Tomov is a graduate of the Semmelweis University and trained in Medicine and Nephrology at the UMDNJ - Morristown Memorial Hospital and the Medical University of South Carolina.  His clinical research interests include studying the long term effects of acute kidney injury on renal function.  Dr. Tomov is actively involved in establishing a new interdisciplinary kidney stone clinic with the Department of Urology.  He is a member of the American Society of Nephrology andf is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine in the specialties of Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
