Call

Fellows are primarily responsible for taking telephone calls from patients at night and on weekends as well as from the emergency room where many of our patients are seen.  While it is designated home call, the fellow is responsible for seeing consults in the emergency room and delineating an appropriate treatment plan after consultation with the attending on call. First year fellows are on call an average of six times per month and second year fellows take call an average of three times per month. Weekends are covered in a rotating fashion from Saturday 8AM to Monday 8AM.
