Faye Hant, D.O., MSCR

Dr. Hant is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology and Immunology at the Medical University of South Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the Florida State University in 1995, and her medical degree from Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001. She subsequently completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Connecticut in Hartford, CT. In 2004, she came down to Charleston, SC and completed a three-year clinical and research fellowship in Rheumatology at the Medical University of South Carolina which she completed in 2007. That year she also completed a two-year Master of Science in Clinical Research program, through the Department of Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Epidemiology, funded through an NIH T32 grant award.

Dr. Hant’s research interests are focused on Scleroderma and interstitial lung disease, where her goal is to find non-invasive biomarkers to aid in diagnosis and treatment of this disease. She is working actively with Dr. Richard Silver, Dr. Galina Bogatkevich and Dr. Maria Trojanowska in the Division to perform translational, bench to bedside research in the field of Scleroderma.
