Specifics

Please report to the Program Coordinator, Tara Kirby, in the Hem/Onc. Office in 903 CSB at 9 a.m. the first day of service.

Hem/Onc. offers a variety of activities in which students can engage for an elective experience.  Please page Dr. Larry Afrin (792-2123, pager #14481) at least two weeks ahead of time to discuss your interests so that he can try to arrange for the specific experience you seek.

The student is graded by the Attending Physician on the Service which the student has chosen.

The student will receive the Division’s standing monthly activities schedule when they report to the Coordinator on the first day.  A student’s activity schedule will vary in accordance with the experience custom-developed for that student.  All students will participate in as many of the Division’s conferences as possible, including at least one tumor board each week.
