Rheumatology Professor Rounds provides the student an introduction to the clinical approaches to rheumatic diseases and musculoskeletal disorders. An overview of the diagnostic approaches to connective tissue disease, inflammatory arthritis, crystalline arthropathies, and vasculitis will serve as an introduction to a discussion of several cases involving such disorders. These discussions will form a foundation for understanding the diagnosis and management of autoimmune and musculoskeletal diseases.
Learning Objectives
Connective Tissue Diseases: The student will understand the basic principles of the diagnosis and management of systemic lupus erythematosus, idiopathic inflammatory myopathies, Sjogren syndrome, and systemic sclerosis.
