Why should I interview at the Medical University of South Carolina?
The Internal Medicine residency program at MUSC is distinguished by extremely friendly and clinically outstanding residents, great faculty that love to teach, and a fabulous location.  When you visit us, these facts will become apparent, and we look forward to showing you these things in person.

What is it like to live in Charleston, South Carolina?
Charleston is unlike any other city in America.  It has a small town feel despite big city amenities, largely due to the tourism economy.  World-class golf, an incredible number and variety of outstanding restaurants, and numerous beautiful beaches are all within minutes of wherever you may choose to live.  Charleston has an aquarium and minor league baseball, hockey, and soccer teams that have all won championships.  The Spoleto Festival, an international arts festival, and the Cooper River Bridge Run each draw tens of thousands of visitors to the Charleston area each year.

Can I afford to live in Charleston?
Most of our residents own homes or condominiums in the area, and real estate in Charleston has been a fabulous investment for many years.  In order to compare the cost-of-living in Charleston to that in your current city, visit one of the many cost-of-living comparison calculators on the web.  One such calculator can be found on
