Marcus Briones, M.D.Dr. Briones was born and raised in Canton, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Richmond with a bachelor's degree in biology. He received a master's degree in epidemiology from the University of Virginia and a medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia.

Dr. Traub is a native of Georgia. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in exercise science. He received a medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia.
Brandon Valentine, M.D.
Dr. Valentine was born in Ohio. He graduated Cum Laude from Heidelberg College with a bachelor's degree in biology. He received a medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio. Following his internship at MUSC, Dr. Valentine joined MUSC's research team.
Frank Armocida, M.D.
Dr. Armocida is a native of South Carolina and received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Clemson University. He is a graduate of MUSC. After residency Dr. Armocida and his wife Staci left MUSC for a fellowship at Sinia Hospital of Baltimore in the Center for Joint Preservation and Replacement with Dr. Michael Mont.
Jacob Kidder, M.D.
Dr. Kidder came to MUSC from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center as a result of Hurricane Katrina as a PGY4. Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana Dr. Kidder received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Mississippi. Following his residency, Dr. Kidder and his wife Rebecca left for a shoulder fellowship at Clinique Sainte Anne Lumiere in Lyon, France. Upon returning to the USA he will be joining Orthopaedic Sports Medicine in Mobile, Alabama.
Heather McIntosh, M.D.
Dr. McCann was raised in North Carolina. She received a bachelor's degree in chemistry and psychology at UNC Chapel Hill, where she also earned a medical degree. Following her internship at MUSC, Dr. McCann joined MUSC's research team. Dr. McIntosh and her Husband Gene left MUSC for a sports medicine fellowship at Lake Tahoe Orthopaedic Institute in Zephyr Cove Nevada.

Dr. Romero is a native of Louisiana. He attended LSU and received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in business administration. After working in the private sector, Dr. Romero also received a medical degree from LSU. His research interests include hip replacement surgery, vibration effects on the spine, and foot and ankle surgery. After completing his residency Dr. Romero and his wife Kelly left MUSC for a spine fellowship at Stanford University in Sanford, California.
Roger Componovo, M.D.
Dr. Componovo was born in New Jersey and raised in Delaware. He attended UNC Chapel Hill, graduating Suma Cum Laude. He attended medical school at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pa.
Kathleen Hogan, M.D.
A Rhode Island native, Dr. Hogan graduated from Providence College where she majored in biology and chemistry. She then attended Brown Medical School and completed an internship at Rhode Island Hospital. After completing her internship, she joined MUSC's research team. Her research interests are augmentation of fracture healing and osteoporosis. Dr. Hogan has won numerous research awards and is the recipient of the 2005 Pee Dee Orthopaedic Award for Academic Excellence.
Allister Williams, M.D.
Dr. Williams is a native of Brooklyn, N.Y. He attended Brown University, majoring in epidemiology and applied mathematics. Dr. Williams is a graduate of MUSC.
Brian Straus, M.D.
Dr. Straus was born in Columbus, Ga., and raised in Charlotte, N.C. He attended Texas A&M University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He went to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Dr. Straus is the 2005 recipient of the AOA Leadership award.
Michael Wildstein, M.D.
Dr. Wildstein graduated from Stanford University and returned to his native Atlanta to attend Morehouse School of Medicine. Michael completed a general surgery internship at MUSC in 2001 and then spent a year in the Orthopaedic Surgery Department’s research lab.
Robert Yarbrough, M.D.
Born and raised in Columbus, Ga., Dr. Yarbrough attended Montana State University and Davidson College. He earned a medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Ga.
