Attached are copies of those portions of the new pediatric trauma alert manual that have been finalized. The pediatric trauma committee continues to meet on a regular basis and although we have made some progress, we have a long way to go.

Note in particular the personnel and responsibilities, which specifically lists the pediatric resident. We will work as a team, and hopefully minimize duplication of efforts (such as the primary and secondary surveys), while getting the pediatric residents more involved in the trauma alerts.

The pediatric upper level resident is now on the trauma alert page list. You should be receiving those alert pages 24 hours a day (depending on the shift), so please let me know if there is any problem.
