Pediatric Radiology
The division of pediatric radiology at the Medical University of South Carolina performs more than 35,000 imaging examinations annually, and provides a wide range of services in support of community physicians and MUSC Children's Hospital from diagnostic exams, including x-rays, fluoroscopy, Ultrasound (US), Computed Tomography (CT), and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), to image guidance for diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
Common Conditions - Intussusception Reduction
- Enteric tube placement, including transpyloric and gastrojejunostomy tubes
- Ultrasound-guided hip aspiration
Medical Procedures - X-rays
- Ultrasound of the head, neck, spine, chest, abdomen, peripheral vasculature and musculoskeletal system
- Computed Tomography (CT) of the chest, abdomen, pelvis and musculoskeletal system
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of chest, abdomen, pelvis and musculoskeletal system
- Flouroscopic examinations of the airway, gastrointestinal and genitourinary tracts
