Directions and Maps

MUSC Children's Hospital is located on the main campus of the Medical University of South Carolina in downtown Charleston, South Carolina.

Directions from I-26 East (North Charleston/Summerville/Orangeburg)
Coming into Charleston from I-26 East you will take exit 221A (Highway 17 South towards Savannah). Get in the right lane. After the first traffic light, take the Rutledge Avenue exit to your right - following signs to MUSC. At traffic light you will turn left (this is a one-way street you will only be able to turn left). Turn right onto Calhoun Street. Take your first right onto Ashley Avenue. The hospital will be on your left. To drop off visitors or patients, take your third left onto Horseshoe Drive. This will loop you around the front of the hospital.

Directions from Highway 17N (West Ashley/Hollywood/Hilton Head)
Coming into Charleston on Highway 17 North you will cross the Ashley River bridge. You will need to get in the far right lane. Take the Lockwood Avenue exit. Go straight through the first traffic light you come to. Go until the road ends and turn right onto Rutledge Avenue At the second traffic light turn right onto Calhoun Street. Take your first right onto Ashley Avenue. The hospital will be on your left. To drop off visitors or patients take your 3rd left onto Horseshoe Drive. This will loop you around the front of the hospital.

Directions from Hwy 17 South (Mount Pleasant/ McClellanville/Georgetown)
Coming into Charleston on Highway 17 South you will go over the Cooper River bridges. Get in the right lane. After the first traffic light, take the Rutledge Avenue exit to your right - following signs to MUSC. At traffic light you will turn left (this is a one-way street you will only be able to turn left). Turn right onto Calhoun Street. Take your first right onto Ashley Avenue. The hospital will be on your left. To drop off visitors or patients take your third left onto Horseshoe Drive. This will loop you around the front of the hospital.

Parking is available in the following location:

• Ashley Avenue in the B Lot
• President Street in the G Lot (across from MUSC Institute of Psychiatry)
• Jonathan Lucas St. in the patient and visitor garage
