Musculoskeletal Radiology
The section of musculoskeletal radiology is responsible for the interpretation of all musculoskeletal radiographs, CTs and MRIs. This includes over 35,000 radiographs, 2,000 CTs and 2,500 MRIs annually. This section is also responsible for the interpretation of spine radiographs, CTs and MRs originating from the Emergency Department, the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Division of Rheumatology. Additionally, the Section of Musculoskeletal Radiology performs a number of invasive procedures including: bone biopsies, arthrograms (iwth follow-up MR or CT imaging), joint injections and joint asperactions. These are usually done under fluoroscopic, CT or ultrasound guidance.
