Neuroradiology

Brain MR PerfusionThe Neuroradiology Division is composed of six neuroradiologists certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology.  The Division offers comprehensive imaging of the brain, spine, and head and neck region for adults and pediatric patients using computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).  Advanced neuroimaging techniques routinely utilized in our practice include CT angioraphy, CT perfusion, MR perfusion, MR spectroscopy, diffusion MRI, and functional MRI.  Along with colleagues in the division of Nuclear Medicine, Neuroradiology provides interpretations of head and neck PET-CT scans.  The Division works closely with referring clinicians to select imaging techniques and protocols to address clinical questions.

We also have a busy comprehensive program of imaging-guided minimally invasive spine intervention.  We perform fluoroscopically-guided and CT-guided spine procedures, including epidural injections, nerve root blocks, facet injections, sacroiliac joint injections, median branch blocks, radiofrequency facet ablation, percutaneous vertebral augmentation, as well as CT-guided biopsies of the spine, neck, and skull base.

The Division of Neuroradiology actively participates in interdisciplinary clinical and education conferences with the Departments of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology, Pediatrics, Radiation Oncology, and Hematology/Oncology.  The Division offers an ACGME accredited fellowship program in diagnostic neuroradiology
