There were over 30,000 MR imaging and CT exams performed during the 2010-11 academic year. MR and CT angiograms of the head and neck, CT myelograms, spinal MR angiograms, as well as fetal MR imaging are routinely performed.
Fully implemented in clinical practice are the advanced imaging techniques:
- MR perfusion, tractography, diffusion kurtosis imaging, MR spectroscopy and functional brain MR imaging
- CT perfusion
Patients are examined on state-of-the-art equipment such as 128-slice and dual source CT scanners, 3 and 1.5 Tesla MR scanners, PET-CT studies for head and neck cancer are interpreted jointly with the Nuclear Medicine Division.
