The Division of Neuroradiology currently holds one active federal grant and three corporate grants, and faculty members are involved in a number of projects as co-investigators with different other departments at MUSC. Research activity includes projects investigating applications of functional brain MR imaging; new contrast agents and perfusion imaging of brain tumors; different aspects of imaging in head and neck cancer; spinal MR angiography; diffusion tensor MR imaging; and radiation dose reduction for neuroradiological CT studies. The Division plans to actively participate in small animal MR imaging at MUSC. During the 2006-07 academic year the Division has published nine peer-reviewed papers, three review articles and four book chapters, and presented nine abstracts at major national and international meetings. The Division faculty serve as reviewers for major journals and national meetings in neuroradiology and associated disciplines.
