Pediatric Research

The Division of Pediatric Radiology is currently involved in several collaborative research projects. Dr. Hill is the site Principle Investigator for a multi-center imaging trial, ACRIN 6660, Whole Body MRI Imaging in Pediatric Malignancies. Dr. Denise Mulvihill, with funding from the NIH and the March of Dimes, is working with the Department of Neonatology investigating the role of neuroimaging in infants with chorioamnionitis. Additionally,  Drs. Hill, Rao, and Keslar are currently involved in several unfunded projects in the imaging of acute appendicitis including “Added Value of Coronal Reformatted images in Computed Tomography performed in suspected Appendicitis in Children” and the CT findings of perforated vs. non-perforated appendicitis in children. In the past year, members of the Pediatric Radiology division have presented their work at the Society for Pediatric Radiology and the European Society of Pediatric Radiology.
