The division of ultrasound performed approximately 18,500 exams last year. We provide ultrasound services at Ashley River Tower (ART) and the main hospital.  We have increased the volume of interventional procedures by 15% since last year.  The types of interventional procedures we offer is variable ranging from lymph node and soft tissue biopsies, to fine needle aspiration of thyroid  lesions and drainages. Each request is individually tailored to the specific concern of the ordering physician.

We have new equipment with software packages that improve post processing of images thus enabling us to provide a more efficient service.  Research interests include volume imaging and sonographic evaluation of transplants.
