Timothy J. Amrhein, M.D.
Timothy J. Amrhein, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the Medical University of South Carolina specializing in neuroradiology. Dr. Amrhein received a BS in biochemistry from SUNY Binghamton and his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. He completed a diagnostic radiology residency at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC serving for a year as Chief Resident. Dr. Amrhein continued his post-graduate training at Duke completing a neuroradiology fellowship in June of 2011. He was also honored with the American Heart Association Cerebrovascular (Bugher) Fellowship, one of three two-year research fellowships granted throughout the country annually. Dr. Amrhein joined the radiology faculty at MUSC in July 2012.
Dr. Amrhein has authored several book chapters and peer-reviewed publications. His primary clinical and research interests include stroke imaging, molecular imaging, spine intervention, and intracranial pressure management.
