Assistant Professor
Amy S. Campbell, M.D. is an assistant professor in radiology at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Campbell received a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Southern Indiana, Evansville where she graduated cum laude. She completed medical school at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky. Following medical school, Dr. Campbell completed a general surgery internship at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia where she also completed her residency in radiology and served as chief resident for one year. Dr. Campbell completed a fellowship in breast imaging at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Dr. Campbell has published articles and abstracts in several publications including the Journal of Surgical Research, The Cancer Journal and The American Surgeon. Her two lectures at W.H. Pool Society Meetings include Breast Imaging: Analysis of breast calcifications and Economics and epidemiology of breast cancer. Dr. Campbell is a member of the American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, American Association for Women Radiologists and The Association of University Radiologists and the Society of Breast Imaging. She served on the American Alliance of Academic Chief Residents in Radiology steering committee as chief resident at the Medical College of Georgia from 2006-2007 and acted as the resident representative on the Graduate Medical Education Committee. At MUSC, Dr. Campbell is a member of the Cancer Program Committee for Hollings Cancer Center and is active in the weekly multidisciplinary tumor board for breast.
