Assistant Professor of Radiology

Dr. Cianfoni graduated cum laude from medical school at at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Catholic University of the Sacred Heart) in Rome, Italy. He, then, completed an internship in thoracic surgery and cardiology at the University of Bialistok in Poland followed by an internship in Otolaryngology, Dermatology, Neurology and Emergency Medicine at Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Nantes in France.

Following two postgraduate internships at Hopital “St. Vincent”, Faculte Libre-Universite Catholique de Lille in France and Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Policlinico“A.Gemelli” in Rome, Dr. Cianfoni completed a radiology residency  where he qualified as top candidate in competition at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Policlinico “A.Gemelli”, Rome.

Dr. Cianfoni became board certified with a thesis on “Destructive Spondyloarthropathy of the cervical spine in long-term hemodialyzed patients: a five-year clinical andradiological prospective study."

He served as a visiting fellow at University of California, San Diego in MRI (body and neuro), CT (body and neuro), ultrasound and musculoskeletal radiology.

In April 2004, he was awarded European Master in Neuroradiology sponsored by ESNR-ECNR (European Society of Neuroradiology) and in November 2005, completed a clinical fellowship in neuro-MRI and extra-vascular spineinterventional radiology at University of California, San Diego.
