Christopher Hannegan, M.D.
Assistant Professor of Radiology
Dr. Christopher Hannegan is an Assistant Professor, Attending Physician, and the Interventional Radiology Fellowship Program Director.
Dr. Hannegan joined MUSC in 2000 after he completed a diagnostic radiology residency and an angio/interventional fellowship at University of Rochester. Prior to his postgraduate studies, Dr. Hannegan received his M.D. from MUSC.
Dr. Hannegan’s primary interest is in the training and education of fellows and residents. He is a past recipient of the Golden Apple Award for excellence in educating diagnostic radiology residents. He participates in Senior Board Review, Mock Boards and Radiology Resident Conferences.
He is involved in several ongoing research studies pertaining to Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
He is a member of both the national and state Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He also holds memberships in the Association of University Radiologists, the American Roentgen Ray Society, The Radiology Society of North America, The American College of Radiology, the Association of Program Directors in Interventional Radiology, and the South Carolina Medical Association.
