Melissa Picard, M.D.

Melissa Picard, M.D. is an Assistant Professor in Radiology at the Medical University of South Carolina.  Dr. Picard received her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at Louisiana State University, where she graduated summa cum laude.  She completed medical school at the Medical University of Ohio, now The University of Toledo College of Medicine.  She completed a transitional year family medicine internship at Mercy Health Partners in Toledo, Ohio.  She completed her diagnostic radiology residency at MUSC, as well as, a fellowship in Abdominal Radiology.  She is certified by the American Board of Radiology.  Dr. Picard's clinical interests include GU and GI imaging of all modalities.  She has a special interest in simulation based education and is actively involved in the creation and implementation of various simulation labs in the radiology residency program.
