The Facility is dedicated to assist you in the development of a transgenic mouse model for your research needs. To make a request to the facility the investigator must have an approved ARC protocol and a NetID (MUSC network account).

 The Transgenic Request Form is required for the application process.  Please follow the guildelines outlined in the Transgenic Service Description in order to expedite your request.

 The IACUC requires a signed Animal Transfer Form.

 Two injection DNA purification protocols are provided on the request forms page. DNA quality and integrity is crucial to the success of integration and thus transgenesis.

 Design a proven screening assay for the transgene. This will allow for speedy screening of the weaned pups once they are transferred to your assigned space.

 The 2009 cost is $2500 for MUSC investigators.
