The Facility is dedicated to assist you in the development of a transgenic mouse model for your research needs. To make a request to the facility the investigator must have an approved ARC protocol and an approved IBC protocol.

 The Transgenic Request Form is required for the application process.  Please follow the guildelines outlined in the Transgenic Service Description in order to expedite your request.

 The IACUC requires an Animal Transfer Form.

 Two sample injection DNA purification protocols are provided on the request forms page. DNA quality and integrity is crucial to the success of integration and thus transgenesis.

 Design a proven screening assay for the transgene. This will allow for speedy screening of the weaned pups once they are transferred to your assigned space.

 The 2013 cost is $2500 for MUSC investigators.
